On the evening of Saturday September 6th 2014, in Mendrisio, Switzerland, in front of a crowd of over 3’000 people, Mirko Rainer, from South Tyrol, broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most champagne bottles sabered in one minute. With 47 bottles sabered, he was able to achieve a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title.
The official attempt was certified by Sir Jack Brockbank, official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator.
“It is a great honour for me to be now part of the big GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS family. It has been so challenging for me to attempt to set the new record”, said Mirko Rainer.
“We are very happy of the success of the event and to notice that we were able to collect over 7’000.-CHF to devolve in charity to the SAM (Servizio Autoambulanza Mendrisiotto), first aid service of Mendrisio”, explained Arianna Maugeri, organizer with Rainer of the official attempt.
“We would like to thank all the sponsors, the people, and the families, who believed in this great project and made it happen”, thanked Rainer.
